Sub Types

Now you can further sub-categorize garments within a category e.g. Laundry in DCP. This not only makes it easier for your employees to find garments on the ticket screen, but also helps you generate reports on groups of garments. E.g. all uppers whether they are western, men, or women's can be classified under a single category "shirts.” This function also gives you further granularity of enforcing up charges or colors on these garments. E.g. you may not be interested in capturing the color of blankets but might be for shirts.

First, you have to create the sub type. You can do this by going to

Ø Tools,

Ø Settings,

Ø Garment Sub Types.

Quick Books Integration

DCP is now more tightly integrated with Quick books. You can now transfer more detailed information to QB.

Upgrade Features

These features have been upgraded from the previous version

Delivery Menu

Delivery menu has been enhanced. You can now enlist customer on delivery schedule by day of week or time of the day. Scanning-out of outgoing invoices and scanning-in of undelivered items have now been improved.

Ease of Use

DCP Routes and Delivery menus are now easier than ever.  The driver simply scans the tickets that are going out and notifies DCP that they are going on a route-run. DCP prints a list and optionally invoices for all customers. DCP now also works with MapPoint 2002 to generate a map of the run for the route. Furthermore, you can print bar-coded labels that the driver can just drop into the customer's pickup bags.

On return from a route-run the driver just scans the tickets that weren't delivered and DCP generates a report for the route.

Accounts Receivable

We have a brand new Account Receivable Section. Here are the new features.

1)  Carries over all Unpaid Balances to the next invoice. So now, you just select the end date and it will show you that total.

2)  A new section called Pay Change Existing Invoices that would show you all the unpaid invoices for the time you have selected. You can also email these invoices to customers just by right clicking on the invoice and selecting Email Invoice.

3)       When you make an invoice for a customer, it will put a line on the main customer screen called Invoice. So, if a customer comes in and you want to quickly check their invoice just double click on the invoice and bring it up right in front of you.

4) Current customer's credit can now be manually edited. Note that this feature was disabled in DCP 2003 but numerous requests from customers has prompted us to re-enable this popular feature.
