Step 1: Tag garments with bar-coded tags. Step 2: Clean and Press garments.

Tag garments with bar-coded tags before cleaning garments.

Clean and press garments.

Step 3: Garments on pre-assembly rack. Step 4: Scan bar-coded garments to inform Prism.

As you do today, after the garments are processed and pressed they are placed on your pre-assembly area bars. This step remains the same.

The bar-codes on these garments are scanned to inform Prism of their order on the pre-assembly bar. This step also helps you track garments individually.

Step 5: Ready to assemble. Step 6: Operator hangs the garment.

Now you are ready to assemble. The assembly operator picks up a few garments in the order in which they were scanned; Prism will automatically select an empty assembly location and turn on its indication light.

The operator hangs the garment under this first location and presses the “Next” button.

Step 7: Prism turns on the light at the locationg where the next garment will go. Step 8: This continues till all the garments are assembled.

Prism will now turn on the light at the location where the next garment will go. If this garment belongs to the previous customer, the same location will light up otherwise it will select another location that is empty. After hanging the garment under that location, the operator presses its “Next” button.

Prism will turn on the light at the next location… this continues on until all of the garments are assembled.

  1. You can lookup a history of the garment or a group of garments.
  2. If it supports it, Prism can work with your POS to inform it each time a garment is scanned, assembled or when an order is completed.
Point of Sale Printed Tags

Prism can work with any inventory systems that can print bar-coded garment tags. Many point of sale systems, like DryClean PRO, is capable of printing such tags. Even bar-coded lot tags can be used with Prism.

Prism Printed Temporary Tags (POS not required)

Prism can print either lot tags or ticket tags if you are using an incompatible or not using a POS computer in your store. In such case, you just specify the number of pieces in an order and Prism will print that many tags. You can also print optional information, such as customer name, and ticket number on each of these tags.

Prism Printed Permanent Tags (POS not required)

If you get a lot of recurring garments for cleaning, you can also use Prism for printing permanent heat-sealed tags.

Pre-printed Permanent Tags

Prism also works with pre-printed permanent tags that last many cleaning cycles. Like other permanent tags, these tags are also heat-sealed onto garments.
